So much for extended look at first base for Lucas Duda. Actually, according to Terry Collins, Ike Davis was going to play today regardless of his clutch, walk-off, pinch-hit grand slam yesterday over Cincinnati. Ike’s second pinch-hit this season and first homer gave the Mets a 6-3 win and some momentum going into Sunday’s series finale as they look fir the sweep. Jon Niese makes his season debut as he is activated frim the DL, sending Wilmer Flores back to Triple-A, Las Vegas.
After today the Mets(2-3) have a day off before playing 3 in Atlanta(4-1) followed by 3 in Anaheim and 3 in Arizona.
Just a Note: Mets have hit 7 homers on the homestand….
Duda 2, Davis, Lagares, Brown, Wright and Granderson have hit 1 a piece.
