Reported by Ed Coleman on 660 WFAN Am radio in New york, Wilmer Flores could be in lineup against the Nats tonite.Chris young will make his debut tonite against the Washington Nationals at citifield. Bartolo Colon also will make his Mets debut tonite. Flores was promoted as Daniel Murphy is on paternity leave until Friday. Kyle Farnsworth was also promoted yesterday to fill the void left by Bobby Parnell’s elbow injury. I hope the team is considering this issue to be dire and is trying its best to resolve the bullpen issue as it is especially thin without Parnell’s presence. I could see them moving Mejia into the bullpen and bringing Dice-K back up temporarily, since management is adverse to bringing Rafael Montero or Jason deGrom up to the majors at this point in time. Vic Black did not make the opening day roster and was optioned to Vegas to work on his mechanics and regain his control, as he had an unflattering spring training. There are also outside options such as Joel Hanrahan and Chad Cordero that may be consisered bullpen additions, although Hanrahan is expected to be ready in May as he rehabs.
